Dear Members and Visitors,
When we do reopen , we will be observing the requirements put in place by the NSW Government under the ‘’Roadmap to Recovery”
For details see: https://www.nsw.gov.au/media-releases/roadmap-to-recovery-reveals-path-forward-for-all-nsw
Under the ‘Roadmap to Recovery’ rules, members and visitors will be required to provide proof of full vaccination on entry. So, if you’re planning on visiting the Club once we re-open we ask that you come prepared with your proof of vaccination to avoid congestion and delays at our entrances. We also kindly ask, that you be patient, courteous and understanding with our staff, who will have the additional responsibility of ensuring the Club complies with the NSW government’s prescribed health and entry requirements.
Importantly, we understand that some of our members have some strong opinions around Covid and vaccinations, and we respect that personal choice in relation to your health is essential. However, please also respect that the club must adhere to the NSW Health Orders, so if you are not vaccinated, we will not be in a position to welcome you back to the Club until later in the year, when vaccination rates are higher.
Ultimately, our priority is the safety and wellbeing of our members, staff and the community, and we will be strictly adhering to the reopening rules.
We do however, look forward to welcoming everyone back to our clubs in the coming months
For more information on how to access your proof of vaccination, simply click on this link: https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/health-and-wellbeing/covid-19-vaccination-nsw/proof-of-vaccination
On a personal note, as the newly appointed CEO of the club, I am excited to meet you all as our amazing team work to continually improve our services and facilities for your enjoyment
We can not wait to see you back in the Club, as we start working our way back to some kind of ‘normal’.
See you all soon and keep safe !!
Illawarra Yacht Club is registered and ready to accept vouchers.
Their will now be a two-step process of signing in to our venues. All Patrons MUST sign into the club on both our internal sign in systems AND the services NSW site.
The first step of signing in will be to sign in using the Services NSW QR code. You MUST then show staff at reception that you have signed in.
The second step will be once you are in the foyer, you will sign in using our terminals with either a photo ID or membership card. Our regular sign in system is still being kept in place which gives us a true indication of how many patrons are in the club at any one time. This is for compliance and to ensure the health and safety of Patrons and Staff.
If you are not familiar with the services NSW QR code, please see our staff at reception who will assist you. For those who do not have a smart phone and not able to use the QR code, we do have alternative ways to sign you in.
